My Last Hair Journey

This time I vow to do it right! I am currently 11 weeks post relaxer (texlaxed), and I don't plan on ever going back to relaxing. I guess you can say "I'm going Natural". Yes that is a very common statement nowadays, so Thank-you to the Naturals that paved the way and inspired us all.
Now here I am.... with my Frizzy, easily Tangled, Dry, Porous Hair, ready to Beautify it to the best of my ability.
This is more than a Journey to me now, this will be my lifestyle. I want long, Healthy Hair, once and for all.

Favorite Products So Far:

  • SheaMoisture Coconut & Hibiscus Hold & Shine Moisture Mist
  • SheaMoisture's Raw Shea Butter Extra-Moisture Transitioning Milk
I'll add more to the list and review each product as I continue to fall in love.
The pic above is me July 2014, 1 week post relaxer with air dried hair.

Grrrrr! !! Going natural LOL I have been for about 5 or 6 years now. Everyday I'm on the cusp of getting me some creamy crack. My hair is so thick...THICK! It is also so hard to handle myself. Needless to say I've said all of that and still haven't gotten a relaxer after all this time because I know it is what is best. I enjoy the body my hair has when I'm rocking a blow out with curls. It never had that kind of movement with a relaxer. I'm going to keep up on which products you use and your feed back on them. I really need to learn to take care of and style my own hair.

Lol! I wish I would have started going natural that long ago! Everyone is going natural now because it takes too much to retain length and health with that creamy crack. But I know it's going to be hard for me at times too! I remember your thick lovely hair!
I'm in Love with SheaMoisture products right now. I'm going to write a review tonight. It's completely changed my hair in a great way. Keep me up to date on any great product you find as well! Ttyl Girly :)

My hair said thank you for those kind words it doesnt hear from me lol...

I have had my experiences with Shea Moisture and I do really like their product. I love the masque. I use Cantu coconut curl cream on my daughter's twist outs as well as castor and coconut oil on both of our edges and ends.

I like to experiment with my hair. It was always thick and strong, so my experiments were mostly successful. But 3 years ago I started to experience problems with my hair. It was drastically thinning. In three months I could not recognize my head: instead of thick shiny curls there were dull strands, which used to become greasy already on the second day after wash. I had to stop experimenting and start saving my hair. I tried gallons of different shampoos, masks, lotions and other external remedies, with almost no result. When a hairdresser recommended me special vitamins for hair I was not especially excited. But she convinced me to try. That was HairGain Formula, by Military Grade. Now I know that was my lucky day. During the first month I saw no results, but after the second month I’ve already noticed a positive change – a newly grown baby-hair all over my head! I continued for two more months and understood that my lovely hair was gradually coming back). Now I am much more careful with hair experiments. Besides, I take 2-3 months’ course of HairGain at least two times a year.
